I have always wanted to get a sewing machine, and I’m finally getting one after wanting one for 18 years. I usually hand sew everything, so i’m finally looking to get a nice machine, no more than $200 for a beginner sewer. Any suggestions? Anyone know about the sewing machines they sell at Walmart? I live in Hawaii, so my store options are limited. Any help would be great! Thanks! Anyone have any opinion on the Bother or Singer lines?

If I ever get the opportuinty to design my dream home, I would like it to have a flat roof. I like the look of hard shapes, and I also place importance on standing out from the crowd. I was wondering about the pros and cons of such a residence. I understand that large buildings such as a walmart would need a flat roof for obvious reasons, but even small buildings like gas stations have them. Is there any financial advantage to either? heating costs? maintainace? materials?
